Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) Difference

A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is a licensed medical professional who has undergone rigorous training to become a comprehensive healthcare practitioner. D.O.s receive the same foundational education as allopathic physicians (M.D.s) but undergo additional training in osteopathic principles. These principles emphasize a holistic approach to patient care, considering the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit.

As a D.O., I bring a unique skill set to patient care, incorporating osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) into my practice. OMT is a hands-on approach that involves using manual techniques to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. This approach complements traditional medical interventions, promoting the body's natural ability to heal itself.

My commitment is to provide patient-centered, personalized care. I focus not only on addressing symptoms but also on understanding the underlying causes of illness. This holistic perspective allows me to develop comprehensive treatment plans that consider the individual needs and circumstances of each patient.

Whether you are seeking preventive care, managing chronic conditions, or addressing acute health concerns, I am dedicated to supporting your overall well-being. My goal is to empower you to take an active role in your health journey and to provide the highest quality care to enhance your quality of life.
